I took the plunge...

This past Friday I finally hopped on the bandwagon and pre-ordered a couple of iPhones for me and my wife.



I love my iPod Touch, so I'm sure I'll feel right at home on the iPhone, but I'm really looking forward to not having to leech off of wireless networks for a connection.

I'm already getting a bunch of crap for this, since I work for a major competitor of Apple. I'm not getting it from HR or anything like that, mind you, but I've got a ton of friends who are already asking if my office at work has been moved out to the parking garage or anything.

Nothing like that has happened yet, but I fully expect that when the phones do show up (7-10 days from now thanks to them being backordered) I'll be escorted from my building by four men dressed in black suits and will never be heard from again.

On a more art-related front, I've got a couple of chip games to finish up, and I've now got all of the programs I'll be using on my art PC at work, so I should get cranking on all of that real soon.

Alien Guard

I would have liked a bit more time with this one, but I'm heading out for E3 on Monday, so I had to crank something out.



I have been so busy gearing up for E3 and my shift into the art world at Microsoft Games Studios. I am now officially set to begin my roll as 3D Artist on September 1st. So much to learn...

Planet 51 Picked Up By Sony!

For those of you who used to read my other blog, you know that I've been very excited about Ilion Animation's "Planet 51" for some time now, and it now looks as though the film will be distributed by Sony!



Not that a film being distributed by Sony is any reason to get excited, but knowing that the film is on a confirmed course for US theaters is!

Now they just need to get a trailer out so that I can properly wet myself in anticipation.

Presto is on iTunes, and I'm on vacation!

Just a quick heads-up that Pixar's short film, "Presto," is now available for download from iTunes for only $1.99!



As the title of the post suggest, I'm also out on vacation for the next four days. I'm taking a trip with my family down to the coast of Oregon state where we will hang out in a beach house and try not to blow any digits off.

Actually I've never been huge on fireworks, so I might light off a sparkler at most, or maybe one of those black snake things that wind up looking like charred worm turds.

Can't wait.
