Bourne Again

As an early birthday gift, two of my buddies took me out to see what the kids refer to as a "rock and roll show" last night. I don't have any pictures of the event yet (they're all on my buddy's camera), but I had a blast watching Australian rock band, Airbourne, as they ripped through a blistering set of music.



If you like bands like AC/DC, and you have yet to check out Airbourne, you really owe it to yourself to do so. My ears are still ringing today, due to the fact that they decided that a wall of Marshalls was just about right for a room the size of your average bathroom, but I had a blast.

At one point in the show, the lead singer/guitarist got down off the stage, walked through the crowd, hopped up onto the bar, and began to play a guitar solo. As he was doing this, he would grab bottles of booze from the bar raise them to the crowd, and then take swigs off of them. It was quite a site to behold, and I thought that it would be awesome to be in that position. I wouldn't stop there either... I'd grab a wad of cash from the register and raise it in the air to the roar of the crowd before stuffing it in my pocket. Then I'd go for the cheeseburgers and nachos.

I like my mellow music just as much as the next guy, but I also have a soft spot in my heart for pure rock and roll and Airbourne is exactly what I need from time to time.
