30 Days of Water
I've embarked on a bit of an experiment this month...

There was a time in my life when I drank no caffeine at all. I consumed a bit in chocolate now and then, but for the most part, I was caffeine free. Then about 2 years ago, I discovered what I believe to be a nectar so sweet it must be squeezed from the heavens above.
I'm of course referring to energy drinks.
My drink of choice was Full Throttle, though in recent weeks it switched to the wonderful new selection of flavors from Mountain Dew. I drank 1-3 of these things a day, and I was loving life! Running about all jacked up on cafeine and sugar, I had nary a care in the world.
However, the oddest thing happened... the waistline of my pants started shrinking! It was a tough thing to admit, but since my diet hadn't changed, and I still attended my local gym at least 3 times a week, I could only point to that very nectar which I held so dear to my heart.
So for 30 days I'm giving it up. Along with that, I'm giving up every other liquid (outside of a splash of milk on an occasional bowl of cereal here or there), and I'm drinking nothing but water.
Yesterday was my first day of 30, and it was ROUGH! I had headaches, felt a bit sick to my stomach, and could almost hear the energy drinks calling me from the supermarket down the street.
We shall see if I make it or not, but I'm going to do my best. My hope is that if I make it 30 days, I'll have completely lost the cravings for the delicious energy drinks and never return. However their siren song is strong, and I am but one weak man...
Only time will tell. Share this on: facebook

lol good luck mate! seems like you have the same issue as my friend. He lives right next to the super market and downs a couple a day, while playing either COD4 or Halo3 :)
